Five AI creative formats behind 4.2 million visits a month
We went through over 5,600 of their videos. Five formats do almost all the work — and what they build most isn't what gets watched most.
Liven is driving 4.2 million visits a month through Meta and YouTube ads.
If you're looking for inspiration on AI creative formats to test, this is a great resource to check out and see what they're running.
So let's look at the five types of creative making up most of their campaigns these days. We looked at over 5,600 different videos to pull them out.
Let's take a look at these 5 AI ad formats scaling right now:
The five formats
The Pixar human drama
Liven's most-made format is a cartoon marriage falling apart.
Ad 1030249246261654 cold-opens mid-fight: "KAREN, I'M HERE, JUST GET IN THE CAR—" Then the ladder. Missed pickups. Kids asleep waiting. "Nothing fits." "I snapped at my eight-year-old." "I haven't felt like myself in two years."
Then the mechanism at 2:22 — a nervous system "stuck in survival mode" — and a 28-day plan at nine minutes a day.
Bottom-left of frame, from second three: "ILLUSTRATIVE STORY."

The stage confession
Sub-look A — the stage. Ad 1021384420508621.
Sub-look B — the kitchen-sink drama. Ad 1321259553013307.
A person on a conference stage. A handheld mic. Two people seated beside them. Serif subtitles.
Or the same script staged as domestic drama — a woman at a mirror, a husband in the doorway, the line delivered as a quote.
No venue you can name. No logo you can read.
The script is always the same shape — a failed-effort ladder that ends in surrender. "I was eating 1,400 calories a day and working out four times a week." Then the medical dead end: "Thyroid? Normal. Glucose? Normal. Hormones? A little off, but normal for your age." Then: "At 42, I gave up. No drama. Just quietly."
The product doesn't arrive until past the three-minute mark.

The animal cast
Same render engine as Format 1. Only the cast changes.
You met Jake the lion last week. Here is what we could not tell you then: 363 videos star animals, and 35 species turn up in five videos or more — lion (133), rabbit (111), bull (72), wolf (65), tiger (54), then cat, dog, fox, deer, bear, hyena, owl, shark, raccoon, beaver, a fennec fox, a gazelle, an orca.
And "Jake" isn't a lion. He's a slot. A Spanish film in this set opens "Jake nos invitó a su casa de playa" — same name, different species, different language.

The stick figure
One doodle. Flat green background. A narrator.
Hook: "My anxious attachment convinced me I was the caring one but I was actually the toxic one."
Then a checklist, not a story. "Checking their phone." "Overthinking every message, every silence." "Starting fights over nothing just to get their attention."
Note the runtime. 57 seconds against 2–3 minutes for everything else. And note what's missing: no body, no before/after, no actor — so no disclaimer. This is the only format that routinely carries none.

The spirit animal
Ornate winged creatures. Marble statues against cosmic backgrounds. Serif text over near-still AI art.
It aims at men: "The man I want to be can't show up until I stop being the nice guy." Then the indictment — "A man who can't say no isn't generous. He's afraid."
Small format. But it's 58% concentrated on one domain, and that tells you it's a deliberate test, not a leftover.

Let's take a look at the distribution of formats between Meta and YouTube, both ad count and views.
Meta video format breakdown
YouTube view breakdown
The number one ad, last shown today, has 50.1 million views and opens like this:
"If you can only perform when the deadline is on fire, here are three things that will rewire that. Number one — you don't have a motivation problem. You have a brain that only activates under threat…"
The product is first mentioned 79 seconds in — 61% of the way through the ad.
Where do they all lead?
Five formats, nine languages, five domains — and they converge on a very small number of quizzes.
We're going to do a more detailed breakdown on that later.
Stay tuned — we'll look at the quizzes later this week.
